SCR funding a ShelterBox to support disaster relief in Nepal 2015

Sydney City Rotaract will be funding a ShelterBox and spearheading a nationwide ShelterBox drive to support relief aid in Nepal.
Nepal was hit with a devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake on the afternoon of 25th of April 2015. So far, at least 7000 people have been confirmed dead with more injured.

The quake occurred between the major cities of Kathmandu and Pokhara, causing extensive damage to homes and buildings, with tremors felt as far away as Delhi in India.

ShelterBox respond instantly to natural and man made disasters by delivering boxes of aid to those who are most in need. Providing shelter and emergency supplies will be critical to the Nepalese people while they rebuild their lives.

Each box supplies an extended family with a tent and essential equipment to use while they are displaced or homeless. Please see the following link, which includes a video for further information regarding Shelterbox http://www.shelterboxaustralia.com.au/
The cost of a ShelterBox is $1000. We will be utilising a portion of the funds raised from the Bollywood Gala Dinner to fund this initiative.
