The Asia Pacific Regional Rotaract Conference (“APRRC”) is one of the most significant and valuable international events for Rotaractors from Asia Pacific region. It is an annual 4 day Conference where Rotaracters come together to shares ideas about all aspects of running Rotaract Clubs including Community Service, International Service, Professional Development and Social aspects. In 2010 the Conference was held in our very own hometown, Sydney. In 2011, 12 Australian flew to the Philippines to take part in the Conference.
During the first official day of the APRRC delegates were addressed by a number of exceptional keynote speakers, including Mr Jose Sixto G. Dante III and Mr Chinkee Tan.
Mr Dante is a prominent actor in the Philippines and the Ambassador the Art, Notional Commission for Culture and the Arts. Mr Dantes arrival created a flurry of hysteria amongst the Philippino ladies which could rival ‘Beatles Mania’ or even ‘Beiber Fever’!
Mr Dante spoke of his passion for utilising the Arts to communicate with marginalise youth and to educate the world. His passion was infectious and he challenged the delegates to support the Arts in their own respective countries.
Mr Tan is a Life Couch and a best selling novelist. He spoke to the delegates about ‘Setting a Millionaires Mindset’. Mr Tan was inspirational in encouraging the delegates to change the way we think and to break down the mental barriers which prevent us from achieving our goals.
That night the delegates watched the Mr and Ms APRRC Beauty Pagent in which Mr Jeremy Charles and Ms Amanda Woods proudly represented Australia. Jeremy and Amanda both won the Ms/Mr Congeniality categories before taking out Third and Fourth place overall after strutting their stuff in their Culture, Sporting, Casual and Formal attire!

On the last night the delegates farewelled their new friends at the Culture Night where each country had a chance to show-case their skills during a performance.
