August 25, 2014: The Morning after the Night before.

It is I, your humble Signal Editor! My journey to this issue, fine readers, has been long and ardous. I first crossed the raging river of OH-DEAR-SWEET-HOME-ALABAMA-MY-HEAD. I traversed the mighty valley of WHY-WONT-THE-ROOM-STOP-SPINNING, and finally climbed the titanic cliffs of I-SHALL-NEVER-EVER-DRINK-AGAIN-UNTIL-NEXT-WEEKEND.

July 21st, 2014: The Dawn of the Age of Chris

I'm Chris, your new Editor-in-Chief. Having bested Drew in single combat within the bowels of an active volcano, it falls to me to bring you the latest news from the world of Rotaract! I look forward to giving you a fun and informative publication, at least until such time as I go mad with power and build a vast media empire IN A BID TO EVENTUALLY TAKE OVER THE WORLD MWAHAHAHAH--

July 14th, 2014: Over 100 Attendees Get Behind Get Ahead!

Good evening,

In case you missed it, Get Ahead 2014 was held this weekend, and was one of our club's most successful and ambitious events ever!

The event launched in full style with students, Rotaractors (from the Central Coast to Canberra), Rotarians and young professionals all in attendance. A huge variety of professional advice was given throughout the day, relating to both the personal and professional lives of attendees, with engaging Presenters and Interactive sessions.

July 23, 2014: ALIV, from Sydney, it's Monday Night!

Good evening,

What a weekend! A project that has been in planning for a long time had its first events over the weekend, with members of the club spending Saturday in training, and then spending Sunday playing and working with children of Immigrants. It was a fantastic day, and really represented "volunteering" at its core.

July 16, 2014: Bon Voyage, Mel!

Good evening,

normally I start these off with "Wow, what a week!", but today, "wow, what a weekend" is more appropriate.

Firstly, our club again helped out at Stepping Stone House, with our working bee helping to keep their home beautiful. The kids/co-ordinators really appreciate our efforts their, and this is one of the best ways the club helps make our local community a better place. A big "thank you" to everyone who helped out over the weekend, and I would encourage everyone to do their best to help out at our next working bee.

Jule 9, 2014: The last time we'll use the word 'Convention' for ages. Promise.

Good evening,

Wow! What a week!

In case you missed our barrage of emails, twitter updates, instragram photos and Facebook posts, the 2014 Rotary Internation Convention just wrapped up, with over 17,000 Rotarians from all across the globe briefly descending upon Sydney to trade stories, talk shop and work out the best ways to come together and help make the world a better place.

June 2, 2014: An Unconventional Convention on Conventions

Good evening,

By the time you're reading this, I will be hanging out with many of my fellow Rotaractors from all across the globe as part of the 2014 Rotary International Convention.

We've been having a lot of fun so far, with fascinating breakout sessions, a jaw-dropping cruise in Sydney Harbour, and even a suprise performance by Human Nature as part of the Opening Ceremony. It's been a great few days so far, and the sheer scale of the convention has been an ever-present reminder of the massive size of the Rotary family.

May 26, 2014: Apparently, some sort of 'Convention' is coming up

Convention! Convention Convention Convention!

Sorry, it's getting hard to control my enthusiasm. As we're all no doubt aware, Convention is coming up, with the first events scheduled to begin this Thursday. If you haven't booked tickets for the convention, get in now. If you haven't booked your tickets for social events yet, the Welcome Party is still open, but will cost 20 dollars at the door (cash). For further details, please email [email protected]

Other than that, the club still has a tonne of projects and events coming up. Like always, I hope to see you at as many as possible (if not more!)!

May 19, 2014: Your Complimentary Convention Guide

Good evening,

You can't see it from the newsletter, but I am having trouble staying in my chair right. "Why?", you ask? Because in a mere ten days, thousands upon thousands of Rotarians and Rotaractors from all across the world will be descending upon Sydney, giving us a once in a lifetime opportunity to make new friends and learn new things.

May 12, 2014: 17 Days Until Pre-Con!!!

It's been such a long time since we've seen each other! Fortunately, after a few weeks of absence (brought about by April having five Wednesdays), we have a meeting this week! However, in the long winter of no-meetings leading up to this point, the club has still been busy, with just as many projects in planning and events in action as ever. I hope to see you at as many events as possible!

5th of May, 2014: You can bet on BETS

Good evening,

What a weekend! Over the past few days, the incoming Sydney City Rotaract board, and the boards from most other clubs in our region have attended PETS and BETS, which provides specialised Rotaract training for almost every position in club boards. There, we got to mingle with our counterparts in other districts, discuss and debate the best way of doing things, and learn what our neighbouring clubs are up to.

28th of April, 2014: After sold-out tour, Long Weekends to go on break until early June

I hope we've all had a good long weekend! ANZAC day is an especially important date in Australian history and culture, as we a take a moment to commemorate all Australians and New Zelanders who have served to help keep our country safe. Days like this give us a great opportunity to look back on our shared heritage, and to further consider our place in helping make the world a better place.

Whether you observed a dawn service, helped out at a barbecue, or just took some time to reflect, I hope we've all had time to think about the sacrifices made to provide and protect the lifestyles we all enjoy. Lest we forget.

14th of April, 2014: Sydney City Rotaract Elects its New Board - World Leaders apparently 'a bit miffed' at their exclusion

Good evening,

what a week! In one of our biggest ever Annual General Meetings, our club elected its new board for the new Rotary Year. In case you missed, the team continuing to lead this club to glory for the new year is:
