Newsletter for 04/08/15

Oh what a night

Two Paul Harris Fellows, Board Member of the Year, Club Person of the Year, Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screen Play... Next year I am petitioning for a red carpet, according to our Annual Report, I think we've earned it.

As has been said so many times before; thanks to everyone who attended a meeting, helped out at an event, or interacted with our club in some manner. Without all of you, our members, our supporters and our friends, we couldn't do what we do.

Final Thoughts

Please note the correct date for the next meeting at the bottom of the email, not that any of you are likely to read this far, but last week I had the date wrong.

Fun Fact: Diabetes was one of the first diseases ever described with an Egyptian manuscript from c. 1500 BCE noting a propesenity of those with the condition for: "too great an emptying of the urine". The first described cases are believed to be of type 1 diabetes as Indian physicians around the same time calling the condition "madhumeha" or "honey urine", noting the urine would attract ants.
